On October 9, 2023, the “Return to Western Azerbaijan” international European Forum was held in Madrid, organized by the State Support Agency for Non-Governmental Organizations, the Azerbaijan-Turkey Women’s Society, and the Azerbaijan-Turkey House, with the support of Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Spain. The forum gathered diplomats from various countries, representatives of international organizations, public figures, and scholars, with Farid Mustafayev, the founding director of F-Holding LLC, also participating.
During the event, the rights of Azerbaijanis deported from Western Azerbaijan, their prospects for returning to their ancestral lands, and the international community’s stance on these issues were widely discussed. Speakers at the forum emphasized the importance of conveying historically based truths to the world public and exchanged views on the steps to be taken towards achieving lasting peace and justice in the region. Farid Mustafayev, the founding director of F-Holding LLC, also mentioned that the company is ready to support initiatives related to this issue within its social responsibility framework. The forum was regarded as an important platform for bringing the issue of Western Azerbaijan to the international agenda.
